The Teblaar are a society made up of some of the most powerful mages who ultimately found a way of cheating, and thus being inbetween; life and death, gaining aspects of both states of being. It is rumored the only way of causing one of these things to cease to exist, is to best it in a battle of will, yet that is a futile battle-- who wills to live more than those who would not die? Thus they are simply accepted. This society is renown for their recordings of all significant changes and events in the world. They make a point not to meddle in mortal affairs but for the sole occasions of embracing new members or to take sacrifices for experimentations. These beings spend most of their time honing their abilities as sages, while they are usually collecting and sharing knowledge of any sort for council meetings. They are known to occasionally leave their territory so they may collect information on what is happening around the continent or to assess other inquiries brought up at previous meetings, usually regarding ordinary citizen's views upon controversial subjects in various kingdoms. Should one meet a Teblaar it is only sane to answer their questions and be on one's way, for they emit a fridgid aura that after only minutes could prove lethal. One thing is essential-- above all other suggestions as to how to deal with the society's questers, make no physical contact, for to do so would be to reveal all that one hold within, things quite secretive, ensued by death from a failing heart. These people wear hoods in respect of the living for the last man who set eyes upon the face of one went so mad it is said he ripped his eyes out of his head in an attempt to erase the memory. The spirit mercifully put him out of his misery and laid one ghostly hand upon him, killing him there and then, at the expense of all he held dear in his mind.

These "people" reside in their stronghold located in the Chavlarus mountains, specifically in the more central area of the mountain range, named Teblaanistaag, by the local populace, deriving from the two dwarven terms Teblaar and Staag, Teblaar meaning Spectator and Staag being Haven. Teblaanistaag is an area among the mountains where a large plateau of rock, once another peak, has been established into a full scale establishment for the sages. At ground level in the area is the River known as Dlalbek, which could translate to either 'Mystic River' or 'Blistering Torrent' known for its naturally hot water, and in some areas, harsh rapids, despite being situated in one of the coldest places in the land. Another unique feature of the water, is that it's colour is a shimmering silver, and sole area to which the Sceribius-Ichthyosarius can to this day still be seen; numerous, unchanged, majestic, cunning, and dangerous. Also found in the Teblaanistaag, are the little-noted Elyrienx, messengers and errant runners for the Teblaar, a cave dwelling and quiet race.

Their stronghold itself during the day is not visible to the mundane eye, yet even if seen with magic is still etherial, and should one walk through the etherial castle the contents on the insides would prove to be illusory. During the night, however, the castle is opaque and solid, emitting a ghostly spectrum of colours.

For those lost in the Chavlarus mountains, to come upon the Teblaanistaag is truly a show of great fortune, for to all but those welcome to the construct itself, or those who wish to explore the area itself, there happens to be a tunnel that through which the stronghold is visible some ways off through it. To not be qualified to see the castle, is to walk through the tunnel to find oneself on either the easternmost fringes of the Chavlarus mountains, the Northern fringes, or the Southern Fringes of the mountain ranges, at random. The most obvious signs of entering the Teblaanistaag would be the abundance of magical creatures and beings fearlessly going about at any given time of day, ranging from Fimbulwinter wolves to Frost Dragons, oblivious to any beings alien to their territory, unless provoked. For the many adventurous or innovative, if not reckless sages who've thought outside of normal means of employing magic, with the permission of the Teblaar, they've been allowed to use the thin border of Darasum and that of other realms in the Teblaanistaag to either make summons. It is noted that the Teblaanistaag is the area of thinnest division, which once led the society themselves to orchestrate the creation of a safe-zone in some other realm using a rift they created, though no other details have surfaced. The reason for the thinned veil between worlds is pinned on the immensely high amount of magic in the region, between all the members of the society themselves, as well as all the creatures in the region.

They are generally a very reserved people, ignoring those they pass out of hand unless they see things of note in specific mortals, questioning to satisfaction and continuing on their way. This attitude of mixed apathy and and indifference, however, is dropped when a mage is fortunate enough to speak with one, in which case they tend to talk for as long as their audience is interested on whatever topics the mages request, before resuming their treks. Should a Teblaar be short of time, however rare the occasion is, if they are asked something by a mage, they often transfer whole events mentally to the audience as if the events were memories of the mages themselves, playing out like any other recollection.
