Franz is a quiet man, not that he has little to say just little to say it to. He's stubbornly honest because he never learned better, which has gotten him into more trouble than he'd like to admit. Growing up in the quiet of the woods, he finds himself unfamiliar and awkward in crowds; because of this he's quite socially inept and his mannerisms can often be seen differently than he intended. His size has also been a disadvantage, he failed espionage training because of it - and his inability to be tact. Franz longs to find his father who disappeared when he was just a boy, that was his main inspiration for travelling to Axony and becoming knighted.

Background Info:
Franz was born in the wilderness of Laernhein, a forest that just touches the edge of the Deep Wood. It was there that his mother and father lived in peace, away from the frightening realities and harsh people of the world. His mother sadly died in childbirth and his father grief stricken, became even more seclusive. Franz from a young age was curious about the world since he felt his perspective was foggy at best; however, his father refused to tell him any stories of the outside world. In order to find the answers he sought, Franz secretly poured over the books until one day his father caught him playing "Arthas Pendrake" the famed Axon king, outside of their cottage with a stick; infuriated his father burned all of their books and forced Franz to watch telling him that the outside world was one of pain and suffering. Curious Franz wanted to know what it was that had caused his father to hate the outside world so much - all his father would do was shudder and strike Franz enraged. One day when Franz was nearly a man, he came back to the cottage after hunting, carrying their dinner and he found his father sitting by the fire but something was different about him than before. He dropped the deer off of his shoulder and asked his father what was wrong. His father flatly told him; that he had to go out to meet with someone and that he wanted Franz to wait on his return. Franz asked his father at that moment what had caused him to hate the outside world all those years, not even thinking to ask where or why he was venturing out into it - hoping that he would find the answers he had sought his entire life. His Dad said one thing before setting out past Franz and the deer. "The Dread."
Franz waited for his father for days, the days turned to weeks, the weeks to months and the months to years; eventually he realised that his Dad may not be coming back. So he took it upon himself to find his Dad but first he thought he'd see a bit of the world, travelling through Laernhein to Axony. He was amazed at what he saw - and a lot of people ran from him in terror saying he was a wild man. He did not understand but merely marvelled at all the wonders of the world with wide eyes and a dropped jaw. When he arrived in Redshire he accidentally saved a Woman from a mountain lion, he saw her being attacked and scared the lion off by making himself bigger than it - for a man of his size it wasn't too hard. The Woman ended up being the daughter of the Lord Mayor who was off to see her husband. She asked him if she could return the favour in any way, he asked her to point him towards the military academy where he hoped to train - just like all the heroes in the stories. She figured out quickly that he was flat broke and a lot more about him, so in return for saving her life she promised that her father would pay his way through schooling.
The next few years were the hardest of Franz life, as he adapted to the culture of Axony - it was not what he had expected from the tales. He learned to fight, wear armour, ride a horse and what he liked most of all - to uphold the Knightly code. He graduated at the age of 23 and after thanking the woman he saved and her father for their generosity, set out to travel the world in hopes of finding his father; now slightly less ignorant to the world. But only slightly.

RP sample:

Franz eyed the two story wooden and brick building letting a gasp of awe leave him. The sign which hung swaying in the gentle breeze, creating a jangling from its iron chains read: bakery. He did not know what a bakery was but he remembered hearing about something similar in his fathers stories, he sighed, he had only left the cottage a week before - and had gotten into a lot of trouble since. He was determined to get it right this time!
The aroma of freshly baked bread welcomed him, it smelled delicious and he hoped he could get some - now he knew what a bakery was, they baked bread here. He felt like a fool for not knowing.
"Welcome, is there anything I can help you with?" The shop keep said behind her counter, giving Franz a look that said: "what a weirdo."
Franz tentatively took a few steps in and up to the counter, "You mean I can have some bread?" he asked with childlike excitement. He really did want that bread, as he had gotten into more settled country, hunting had become increasingly more difficult.
"Uh, sure?" The woman running the store said, unsure as to how to answer such a seemingly stupid question.
"Wow, that's wonderful! Thank you so much." Franz shouted, a big grin running across his roughly bearded face - he took a huge loaf of bread off the counter and took a giant bite out of it. Relishing in the soft texture of the newly baked bread, it was a little hot but he didn't mind.
The store owner looked on dumbfounded, "Well that'll be four coppers." She said in an attempt to steel her voice, but her husband wasn't in and he was really a big guy. She didn't think she'd have time to call the town guard over before he snapped her neck.
"Oh.." Franz said realising the situation as he placed what little was left of the loaf onto the counter, he backed out slowly - he should've known that this was a store.. After all this had happened to him at the fruit stand, the butchers, the inn, the tailors and the fletchers.. "Sorry.. I'm Franz.. And uh it was good!" He shouted back with a fake smile on his face before running, hoping he could make it out of the town before he had to have a talk with the guard again.
